Upcoming Workshop
This Friday, the Chinese Calligraphy Club will give a presentation on Chinese Folk Songs and instruments. Plucked string, bowed string, percussion, and wind instruments all play a role in Chinese folk music. Certain instruments like the Pipa, a type of lute, was introduced to China from Central Asia, but quickly became a core central part of Chinese folk music. Come this Friday to learn more about these exciting musical traditions!
Approximate Workshop Schedule:
4:30-5:00 Presentation
5:00-6:00 Calligraphy Practice
Location: Global International Studies Building 1122
During the Workshop we will supply ink, brushes, paper, and copybooks for individual practice free of charge. Besides studying calligraphy, we will also have free food provided by our sponsor Gourmet Garden!
